Background Check:

May we get to meet you; who really is OMOBOLANLE ADIGUN?

OMOBOLANLE ADIGUN is an award winning Actor, Television and Radio presenter, a writer and an entrepreneur.

Can you please tell us about your background?

I am from a Christian family. Although, my late Dad was a Muslim, but he never stopped my mum and the kids from practicing their preferred religion. And I’m the only female child among three brothers.

Briefly tell us about your educational background?

I have an MA and BA (First class Hon) in Theatre Arts from the University of Ibadan. I also have an OND in Mass Communication from the Polytechnic Ibadan.

What do you do for a living?

I currently work with Creatrix Empire as a Television and Radio Presenter in the media arm. I also act and write scripts for movies and television shows. Lastly, I run an online fashion Hub; Mova Fashion Hub where I sell unisex fashion items.

When did you know you wanted this job?

Well, I’ve always had an interest in Presenting and when the opportunity came, I grabbed it.

What career mistake has given you the biggest lesson?

Ensure you get paid for your service because people are users and especially at the peak of your career, they’ll hover around you but if you ever go down, you’ll most likely not see most of them. So please get paid while you can render a relevant service.

What dream did you have while growing up?

I always dreamt of being a Lawyer, lol! But I’m not one today. However, acting has always been my passion and I’m glad I ventured into it.

How do you get to prepare a content before publication?

Well, I do thorough research about my contents before letting them out. After research, I try to memorize the content before delivery and then publication after delivery.

What was your first win that made you confident that you were doing the right thing?

I think that started when some contents I was involved in went viral and when my career path started generating income.

Who is your mentor and why?

Taraji P Henson is my mentor. She’s an amazing person, I admire her strength, dedication to her craft and characterization methods.

What do you like doing in your spare time?

I love watching movies, going out to fun places, dancing and listening to music and lastly, gisting with my friends.

If you could know the absolute and total truth to one question, what question would you ask?

Why being a good person doesn’t automatically translate to life being fair to you?

Can you please tell us about the people you admire?

Well, admiration could be in different forms o.. LOL! But I admire my Mum because of her kind of strength. I admire my Boss Emmanuel ALADE for being hardworking and determined when it comes to work and success. I admire my circle of friends for being so hardworking and dedicated to being successful through the right means. Lastly, I admire hardworking and good people.

Are you in a relationship; if yes what advice would you give to young couple out there?

I’m not married so I really don’t have the best advice for couples. But, I’ll just say it’s a generation where we are quite outspoken so when you meet a person, share your genuine intentions with them. If they want it they’ll stay and if not, you both should avoid time wasting.

Are you ever depressed and why?

Sincerely, sometimes I get really sad but I don’t know if that’s depression. Why I get really sad sometimes is probably because I didn’t get the desired results from a thing or at times when I feel like I didn’t achieve a desired goal of which I set a timeline for.

If you are to become the President of Nigeria, what would you do for the youth to deter them from immortality.

Honestly, I’ve come to terms with the fact that nothing can stop some people from doing certain things. But, there’s a belief that a lot of people engage in immoral acts due to financial restrain and lack of employment.

So I’ll create job opportunities for the youths, well-paying jobs not the kind of work you do every day but your earnings can’t help your survival. I feel like when there is money, there’ll be a high reduction in the participation of immoral acts. Also, I’ll probably set up active check and balance rules against immoral acts.

Lastly, there’ll be active censorship on certain music and movies that tend to expose our people to these acts; especially the ones that portray the acts as being good.

What are some of your achievements?

Well, some of my achievements includes, winning notable awards in my career, being on projects with notable individuals in the industry, being interviewed by notable individuals and brands which I used to look up to as a child, being a cast in one of the most talked about Yoruba drama series ‘Okoto’ and recently, conducting international interviews beyond the borders of Nigeria.

Where do you hope to be in the next four years?

I hope to be more successful in my Acting and Presenting career. Also, I hope to have my own family by then, winning and conquering each steps together by God’s grace.
