Ngozi Cadmus is a Psychotherapist, Social Worker, Social Entrepreneur and Speaker. I am the Founder of Frontline Therapist and HerNext. I have been invited to run sessions at Schools, TECH firms and Conferences touching on Mental Health, Personal Development, Entrepreneurship and Equality, Diversity & Inclusion.

Can you please tell us about your background and what you do for a living?

I am a British Nigerian Psychotherapist, Social Worker, Business Strategist and, most importantly, strongly faith-driven. I overcame depression and suicidality to become a leading Mental Health and Leadership Expert with over 15 years of experience in the Mental Health sector. I have sectioned hundreds of BAME individuals and thus is fully acquainted with the unique barriers that Black Asian and Mixed-heritage individuals face in the mental health system.

What dream did you have while growing up?

When i was younger, I knew I would do something significant but was unsure. I met my purpose when i encountered God, who gave me a new meaning in life.

How do you get to prepare a content before presenting a speech?

Before a speech, I prepare what I want to talk about beforehand and ensure I read up on the topic.

What do you do in your spare time?

I enjoy reading and playing games with friends in my spare time and admires people who succeed, especially against all odds.

Sometimes people feel that life is not worth living, can you tell us how you feel about your own life?

My greatest motto in life is “See a need fill a need”. If you identify a need, then do everything in your power to fill that need.

I have experienced mental health difficulties, having been depressed and suicidal in my teenage years. I have gone on to champion the needs of the voiceless and create the leading culturally sensitive mental health counseling service that provides accessible and affordable psychological therapies to disadvantaged communities.

What are some of your achievements and interest?

I have been featured in the Metro, Stylist NBC, and on many news outlets for my outstanding work in helping thousands of Black and Ethnic Minority communities’ access psychological therapies.

I have established an ecosystem that economically empowers black women to reskill, upskill and deploy into leadership positions. I am a TEDx speaker, a change agent and a voice for Black and Ethnic Minority emerging women leaders as I work to tackle issues of the lack of representation of Black Women across all sectors in the talent pipeline.

I am also interested in female empowerment and Mental Health inequalities in Minority populations.
