Imagine a world where your thoughts are like mischievous monkeys, swinging from branch to branch of your mind, chattering incessantly.
Some monkeys are helpful, offering insightful thoughts and solutions.
Others are mischievous, throwing bananas of negativity and doubt.
And then some are just plain silly, making you laugh when you least expect it.
Ms. Positivity swung down from my amygdala, the part of the brain responsible for emotion. “You are capable of anything you set your mind to.”
I felt a surge of confidence and I decided to ignore Mr. Doubt’s negativity. I focused on my goals and started taking action toward achieving them.
Along the way, I encountered many challenges. I wanted to give up, but then I would remember Ms. Positivity’s words and keep going.
