November 16, 2021

In an exclusive interview with Aikhomu Omonigho Daniella, granted Bayo speaks as a face of the week. She revealed her background, way of life and achievements.

Background check:

May we get to meet you; who really is Daniella?

My name is Daniella Aikhomu, also known as Ayko. I got the name Ayko from my last name, which is Aikhomu.

Ayko is another side of me that i created to protect myself. She represents me the way I cannot represent myself. She is very bold, strong, fierce, territorial, determined, a pacesetter, a goal getter and very ambitious.

Can you please tell us about your background?

I am the first child to both parent. I’m from Edo state, Irrua precisely. And I speak Esan.

Briefly tell us about your educational background?

I did my primary school in Nigeria. Thereafter, i relocated to United Kingdom to meet the other part of my family, which is from my father’s side. I was prompted to do part of my secondary school there, before relocating back to Nigeria which led to my completion.  And then, I entered Babcock university. Currently studying international law and diplomacy.

What do you do for a living?

Right now, i am still in school. This is a very unique stage of my life where I am almost done with school, and I am still trying to figure out my purpose and existence towards life.

What inspired you?

Music! I am a big jazz head. Lol! And I love creativity with an inspired story.

What dream did you have while growing up?

While growing up, I have always wanted to be seen and heard. Invisibility wasn’t part of me. At times, I’ll stand in front of my tv, practicing when a live show is going on. Hoping to be seen and heard… lol!

Who is your mentor and why?

Like i said, am a big fan of Jazz music and Marilyn Monroe is my mentor. Although She’s dead and am sad about it. However, her lifestyle is a reflection of me.  She is such an inspiration, and I am thrilled with her way of life, deeds in the music and Hollywood industry.

Another mentor of mine is Toke Makinwa. She’s not so farfetched compared to Marilyn Monroe. Her achievements are mind blowing and i am inspired by it.

Toke Makinwa is a wise woman and her story is so captivating. Have met her once, and it was the best moment of my life.

What do you like doing in your spare time?

I am an introvert person, so I don’t really do much. However, I like watching movies on Netflix. I Listen to music, Jazz precisely. I Read books and a take nap.

Who is your celebrity crush?

My boyfriend and he knows why.

If you had to change your name, what would your new name be, and why would you choose that name.

If I am to choose a new name, it will be Desire. It has a lot of story behind it and it symbolizes Grace, Good luck, Destiny. So my name will be Desire.

If you could know the absolute and total truth to one question, what question would you ask?

Is heaven or hell real?  However, I got no issues with religion but the bible is so metaphorical. So knowing the absolute truth to one question would be is heaven or hell real.

Where is the worst smelling place you’ve been?

Stepping into the toilet after my friend’s usage.

What ridiculous thing has someone tricked you into doing or believing?

I think have been blackmailed to give my money out for a very useless course. It wasn’t cool and blackmailing isn’t cool either.

Are you in a relationship?

Yes, I am in a relationship to the love of my life and hopefully my husband.

Where do you hope to be in the next four years?

I hope to align with the universe and to play the script God has written for me, self-development, financially stable and a happy home.
